Construction.

Riveted Iron round bilge/flat bottom hull, Steel superstructure & wooden removable /sectional glazed wheelhouse. Aft engine room & stern hung Teak rudder operated by chain & Universal joints. It is believed that Over plating has been carried out below the waterline.

Engine Room.

Single Volvo Penta MD47B / 6 cylinder approx 125hp Inboard Diesel engine. Naturally aspirated & shaft drive. Believed to have been Re-engined during the 1970s.

Engine Oil pressure gauge / Engine Temperature gauge / Volt meter / Engine shut off / Instrument light switch.  At helm station.

Paragon T33 Hydraulic 2:1 reduction gearbox.  22″ x 15″ 3 blade Bronze propeller.

Engine cooling is raw water cooled & with Vetus type water strainer with gate valve/ seacock.

Portside steel fuel tank supplies diesel to heating boiler fitted within the saloon. approx dimensions & capacity 53 gallons / 242l

Starboard steel fuel tank supplies the engine & approx dimensions & capacity 97 gallons / 444l

Stainless steel Freshwater tank with approx dimensions & capacity 73 gallons / 334l

Mains Electrics:

Located within engine room & to the forward bulkhead.

1x Wylex R.C.D Unit

Dual RCD outlets behind companion way steps to saloon. These protect the 240v lighting & socket outlets throughout. Please note this has not been tested by CYS & we would advise this system to be tested by a qualified electrician.

12V Electrics

6 x 12 v Batteries (3 to port & 3 to Starboard) with wooden lids & securing straps.

12v isolator with change over positions for 12v / mains/ Inverter.

3 gang fused switch panel to helm comprising: 1 x 12v power on switch / 1 x vhf radio: Note radio not supplied or fitted / 1 x navigation lights & 3 x cigarette style outlet sockets.

4 gang fused switch panel located behind companion way steps to saloon. Comprising: 1 x Pressurised water system switch/ Running lights /Aux 1 /Aux 2

Victron Pheonix Multi plus 12v Charger / Inverter.

Galley

Accessed from portside of wheelhouse. Light switch to port with glass fluted wall mounted 240v light fitting. U-shaped galley with plenty of natural light, white painted ply panelled walls. Natural wood panelled deck head.

Cooker hood over Hob / 240v (Not tested) mains strip light over sink unit.

Hotpoint Ultima Twin Oven /Grill & 4 burner hob. Operable from 1 x 13kg Propane gas cylinder secured to stern.

1000mm base unit with multi coloured ceramic tiled worktop / storage beneath. Two 240v double outlets.

1000mm base unit with Multi coloured ceramic work top/ two drawers & storage beneath &  twin 450mm overhead storage units. adjacent shelving.

Two 240v double socket outlets.

Samsung 800 Micro wave.

1000mm base unit / drawers & grey worktop incorporating Fridge & washing machine. 3 x 240v double sockets.

Saloon:

Open to galley with access forward to wet room & Master bedroom. Oodles of natural light & new carpet throughout further helping to encourage this  spacious room.

Loose fitted furniture (Optionally supplied & not necessarily part of her inventory)

Built in T&G corner unit to forward starboard side of saloon. This unit houses the calorifier/ immersion heater & accumulator tank. 3 x Glazed fluted twin wall lights 240v & further double 240v outlets.

Wall mounted 38″ Flat screen t.v (Not necessarily part of inventory & not tested)

Room stat fixed to port side of saloon.

Single radiator.

White painted ply panelled walls & natural wood coloured ply deck head.

Light switch to portside bulkhead on exiting the saloon to Master bedroom.

Multi fuel stove mounted on raised hearth to portside /forward saloon corner with single wall flue outlet. Unit has not been operated by CYS & further inspection/advice as to its installation would be advi

Master Bedroom:

Newly carpeted throughout & with a loose fitted Island style double. Loose fitted furniture for storage. Access to anchor / chain locker to forward bulkhead.

White painted ply walls & white vinyl coated deck head.

Stand alone Diesel boiler with Horstmann / Centaur plus C27 control unit for Heating & hotwater.

Tabernacle to receive wooden mast with steaming light & anchor light.

Solid staunchions fitted to foredeck raised bulwarks but without safety rail/cable fitted

Foredeck:

1 x French style “Fob” anchor approx 15kg with approx 10m 3/8 galvanised chain. Please note that we have not verified whether the chain has been seized/ made secure within the chain locker

1 x Fisherman style anchor approx 15kg

Manual anchor windlass with raising wheel & brake. It is noted that windlass is in need of an overhaul.

Brokers Remarks:

“Josette” is a very pretty example of this desirable Barge. Her build offers space both inside & on deck & despite some may feel some modernising would cosmetically beneficial, she presently offers an immediately occupiable proposition. not forgetting she is very central to the vibrant City of Bristol. Possible part exchange considered.
